Holy Week and Pascha (Easter) 2015
Great Lent is a period of intense fasting and other forms of spiritual preparation that have developed over the course of the past two thousand years. Lent leads into Holy Week, which is filled with several beautiful services aimed at repentance; petitions/prayers for others; physical, emotional, and spiritual healing; and reflection on the trial, death, and resurrection of Christ, most powerfully displayed in the Pascha (Passover) service known in the West as Easter. Here are a few photos from the 2015 Holy Week and Pascha. I hope to include more from future services.

The Bridegroom icon (from the Greek word "image") of Christ is the first thing you see when you walk through the doors during Holy Week. Here you see that some of our ladies have adorned the icon with sweet-smelling flowers.
